Questions about PS3

#1 - Grendel_Prime 896 days agoI am considering getting a PS3 when I get the "economic stimulus" tax rebate. I'm curious as to what is actually in the box with the PS3. The websites (gamestop.com etc) talk about the HD capabilities, but does it actually come with a HD cable? Also, which version should I get? There are 20, 40, 60, and 80 gb versions. I was thinking of the 60, but is there any difference besides the size of the drive? Does one version come with more accessories than another? It says the 40 gb version is not backwards compatible with the PS2 games, but I'm having trouble finding info on the 60 and 80 systems. Gamestops website only has info about the 20 and 40.Reply To This Comment | Message | Agree(0) | Disagree(0)Grendel_Prime owns this system.
#2 - Ol Dirty Ticket 896 days agoI am also curious about this since it looks like blu-ray is going to win. might as well get a player that can do other things.Reply To This Comment | Message | Agree(0) | Disagree(0)Ol Dirty Ticket does not own this system.
#3 - cochran13 896 days agoit doesn't come with an HD cable, you can get a regular HDMI cable and use it or you can get a component cable that works ( has to have the proprietary connector on the one side ). it comes with a rechargeable wireless controller and a usb cable (for charging). It doesn't come with a headset but most bluetooth headsets work with it. It doesn't come with a remote b/c it only accepts bluetooth connections. there is one available to buy for 25 bucks or so...if you watch a lot of movies it might be something to consider. I would get the 60 or 80 gb versions. the smaller size models don't have as many usb ports which you may or may not use. I have an external drive hooked up so thats one port down the whole time. The 60/80 models should be backwards compatible if I'm not mistaken. I think that the 40/20 gb models don't have an HDMI port on them either....which i would suggest for blu-ray/movie viewing...i think thats all the Q's....any more?Reply To This Comment | Message | Agree(0) | Disagree(0)cochran13 owns this system.
