What is GameHuddle?

GameHuddle is an online, community-driven rental marketplace built by gamers passionate about playing and sharing video games. GameHuddle gives members the ability to rent video games online and earn money from their video game collection.

By partnering with game owners to build our inventory, we're able to provide a large variety of video games available to rent. Sharing on GameHuddle also affords members the opportunity to rent for little or no cost. There is never a membership fee or monthly subscription for being a GameHuddle member.

How long has GameHuddle been in business?

GameHuddle has been running strong since 2008.

What if I don't have a credit card?

Similar to any rental service, a credit card is required to establish an account with us and be on file at all times.

GameHuddle currently accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express cards as a method of payment. You may also use a debit card, as long as it has a Visa or MasterCard logo. We do not accept money orders, checks, cash payments, PayPal, prepaid/gift cards or international cards.

If you add a new credit card to your account, GameHuddle will run an authorization in the amount of $1. We receive no funds from this transaction. However, some banks or credit card companies choose to reserve the funds, making them temporarily unavailable to your account. The authorization usually "expires" in 2-5 business days, depending on the financial institution's policy. If you have further questions about this, please contact your financial institution.

What kind of condition are your game discs in?

Our rental discs are inspected upon every return to ensure that they are in good working condition. If they appear to be unplayable, they are removed from our inventory.

How do I rent two copies of the same game?

You can rent the same title for different platforms at the same time. However, we do not permit renting more than one copy of a title for a given platform at one time.

I lost or damaged the game, what should I do?

If a game has been lost or damaged while in your possession, you will be responsible for the replacement fee for that game.

I accidentally sent my game back to you. What should I do now?

We are sorry to hear that you returned your personal property in one of our sleeves. To report the situation, go to Report A Shipping Problem. From the games you have out, choose which game sleeve your disc is in and select 'I sent back the wrong game/sleeve'.

While GameHuddle will make a reasonable effort to return any non-GameHuddle property it receives, GameHuddle will not be liable for any losses of or damage to such property. Should we receive the return of your game, we will attempt to ship it back to you.

If you need another mailer to return your GameHuddle rental, you can request one through Report A Shipping Problem and select I lost the game's sleeve or mailer.

Does a multi-disc game count as more than one rental?

A multi-disc game counts as a single rental. We'll ship you all the discs in a special sleeve in one mailer. Make sure you return all discs when you mail the game back to GameHuddle.

What should I do if I received a different game inside a game's sleeve?

If we've sent you the wrong game by mistake, please accept our apologies for the mixup. Go to Report A Shipping Problem and select 'I received the wrong game' or 'The game arrived in the wrong sleeve', so we can get the right game to you as soon as possible.

When you report the problem, be sure to tell us the title of the game you should have received.

We will send you the correct after you report the problem. We would appreciate if you would cross out the barcode on the incorrect game sleeve with a marker before you send it back. This will help our processing center identify the incorrect disc.

Will I have to pay for a game that is lost in the mail?

We do not hold our members responsible for a game that has been lost or delayed in the mail. Our policy is to wait at least seven shipping days before reporting any type of a shipping problem.

If you have not received a game and it's more than seven days after the ship date or if you haven't received an email confirming our receipt of a game you returned more than seven days prior, please go to Report A Shipping Problem and select 'Game never arrived' or 'GameHuddle never received my return'. We'll note in your account that the game has been lost in the mail.

I reported a game unplayable, why am I about to be charged for it?

After reporting a game to be unplayable, we ship out a replacement copy and quest that the damaged game be returned.

Should we not receive the game a week following the report, we will send you an email requesting information. If the game is not returned, your account will be billed for the replacement fee of the game.

After placing the game in the mail, if you continue to receive e-mails from GameHuddle stating that it has not been received, please reply to that e-mail or contact us and include the name of the game and the date that it was placed in the mail.

I have sufficient funds. Why was my card declined?

Currently, we accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover Card or a debit card with the Visa or MasterCard logo on it. We do not accept prepaid/gift cards or international cards.

If your card was declined and it was not a prepaid/ gift or international card, it may be due to the billing address and card ID not matching with the information your financial institution has on file or there were not enough funds to perform a successful authorization.

We do require an authorization to ensure there are sufficient funds. As part of the authorization process, we do not charge the card and will not receive any funds from this temporary hold.

My address is correct, why was my credit card declined?

We recommend contacting your bank or credit card company and confirm that they have the correct billing address. Please also inquire if they distinguish between "billing address" and "statement address," as some banks do have both, and could be providing us with the wrong address. We require the billing address.

If you would like to change your e-mail address or password, simply go to your Account.

I submitted my email via the "Recover Your Password" form, but I wasn't sent an email. What do I do?

Please close the web browser after each visit to the site.

What happens if I receive or find a game I reported lost?

That's great! You can send it back to us in its pre-paid mailing envelope and we will update your account.

If you no longer have the mailing envelope, please request one by going to Report A Shipping Problem, select "I lost the game's sleeve or mailer" and identify the specific game you need a return envelope for. We will be more than happy to send you another one.

Earning.

How does sharing my games with GameHuddle benefit me?

How does renting for free or cold hard cash sound? Sharing your games on GameHuddle gives you the opportunity to earn money when one of your games is rented by another member. When your GameHuddle account accrues more than $25, you're given the option to receive your money as a cash redemption via PayPal or to use it to rent games on GameHuddle for free.

GameHuddle processes rental activity at the end of the month and calculates the earnings per game/member by the 7th day of the following month. The data is made available on the user account page at this time.

Game owners may elect at any time to use the credit in their accounts to pay for game rentals on GameHuddle. Once your account reaches $25, the game owner may elect to receive a payout via PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account when you join GameHuddle. When you elect to receive a payout, PayPal will send you an email to the email address you provided with your account information. It will inform you that a payment is available. If you do not have an account, the email will include a link to the account creation page. How does GameHuddle determine the "Shipping grace days"?

Good question. GameHuddle partnered with the United States Post Office in determining the time (in days) it takes to ship 95% of all first class mail to all of the zip codes in the continental United States. From this data, GameHuddle determine the "shipping grace days" that we use in the calculation of rental fees.

GameHuddle reserves the right to update the shipping grace days as shipping data dictates.

What do I do if I lose/destroy the mailer or packing material?

These things happen. If you accidentally lose or destroy the game envelope or cardboard jacket, please place the game between two clean pieces of thick cardboard and place inside the 2 way mailer.

If you lose or destroy the 2 way mailer, please go to Report a Shipping Problem and select on the game and issue. GameHuddle will rush you out a replacement 2 way mailer to use to return the game.

What if there are shipping problems?

Inevitably, occurrences will happen where something doesn't go as planned. If you encounter a shipping problem, you can submit it via Report Shipping Problem.

How long will it take to get my games?

Once you have an active GameHuddle membership, you will be able to rent video games from GameHuddle.

Currently, games ship from our shipping center in Pittsburgh, PA:, via the Postal Service first class mail. GameHuddle ships and receives games 6 days a week. The US Postal service estimates on average 2 to 3 business days for shipping time to anywhere in the Continental US. However, shipping times may vary from member to member as well as from shipment to shipment, depending on your local postal route, delivery location, volume of mail, weather, etc. Please note, postal holidays normally cause an increase in shipping times.

Is this service available outside the United States?

GameHuddle ships to the contiguous 48 states on mainland United States. We currently do not offer service to Alaska or Hawaii.

Where does GameHuddle ship games from?

We ship all of our games from our distribution center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I returned all my games, why did I receive an e-mail stating the games were not returned?
