In the Beginning, There Were Friend Codes...
We'd like to regale you with an inspiring tale of how GameHuddle was the brainchild spawned from a groundbreaking meeting of the minds, but that's just not the case in this situation. The idea for GameHuddle came after a series of escalating (and slightly inebriated) dares that revolved around having to stand outside of a local Target in the freezing cold for 10 hours to get the then brand spankin' new Nintendo Wii. Of course we all did it because... well, we're a bunch of nerds. But, man it would all be worth it when we'd be able to relive our happy-go-lucky college days of abusing the tar out of Super Smash Bros. for hours on end with our friends.
Only this time we could all do it from the comfort of our own homes without having to huddle around one TV. After all, this is Nintendo we're talking about. There's no way they could possibly make using their online service more difficult than memorizing the Fibonacci sequence, right? Right? Well... not exactly. As you may or may not know, in order to play Wii games online you not only need a person's unique 16 digit Wii Friend Code, but you also need each other's 12 digit game Friend Code for the game you wish to play. This is what is referred to as not being user-friendly. This is also where GameHuddle comes in.
After futile attempts at searching online for a quick and easy way to find other Wii owners, we decided to take matters into our own hands. Thus, GameHuddle was born.
Our main purpose for creating this site was to provide our users with a streamlined step-by-step process through which they could add their collection of Wii games and Friend Codes, then find other Wii owners to play online with. "But, why stop there?", we thought. GameHuddle could be so much more.
So, if you've heard enough and want to get started finding other Wii owners, you can begin here. If you want to learn more, by all means, read on.
