Our Story
GameHuddle was founded in 2008 by a small team of Internet nerds / die-hard gamers, and was born out of the necessity to right the wrongs of the video game retail world. Namely, the blinding slap-in-the-face you're treated to every time you trade in games at a well-known, worldwide video game retailer (who shall remain nameless, but you know who you are…).
We're sure many of you have experienced that harrowing feeling in the pit of stomach after purchasing a game for $60, only to be told you'll be receiving $11 in cash for it a mere 2 weeks after its release. It's highway robbery, we tells ya! And with the feverish pace that games are released these days, it's downright economically impossible to keep up with everything.
Eventually, we had enough all this nonsense and decided to do something about it. We owned lots of video games, many of which we weren't playing at the time. But we liked our games. We'd rather see them collect dust on the shelf than be pawned off to said unnamed game retailer. And we certainly weren't going to allow those slothful, little plastic discs to sit around all day mocking us, so we strapped on the ol' thinking caps on and decided to put them to work!
Copious amounts of 5 Hour Energies and a few months later, GameHuddle emerged from the development cocoon to bloom into the beautiful digital butterfly you see before you today.
